When Henry and Beth told me that their wedding reception was going to be held at a lavender farm, I could not have been more excited. As a photographer, it was also my dream location!
The wedding took place on a glorious June day, with the sun beaming brightly over the Kentish countryside. Beth began her day at home, surrounded by her bridesmaids, parents and family pets (a sweet dog and two turtles). It is always such a lovely treat to meet family pets! Beth’s stunning wedding dress, paired with a cathedral veil, came from Isabella Grace Bridal. Her bridesmaids wore matching fuchsia dresses. Following the excitement of getting ready, Beth and her wedding party stepped out into the sunlight and into a lovely Rolls Royce, then headed for the church.

Beth and her father, arms linked, walked up the tree lined churchyard path, a walk which many in Henry’s family had taken on their wedding days. The church interior had been transformed by flowers, lovingly arranged by Henry’s mother. The gorgeous green foliage and white roses were such a beautiful touch to the entrances and aisles.

The couple had a church service, full of joy and song, before being declared husband and wife. After the service, it was time for some group formals and of course, confetti!

The couple then headed off to their reception venue, the gorgeous lavender farm - Castle Farm. The lavender and wildflowers were in full bloom, their fragrance wafting through the air on a gentle summer breeze. While Beth and Henry were having their portraits taken, the guests were treated to lawn games. An umbrella was kept on standby to block out the sun, as it really was sweltering.

The reception was held inside a barn. Swathes of fabric and twinkling fairy lights draped from the rafters, transformed the rustic barn into an intimate and magical space. All the decorations and details were planned lovingly and executed perfectly!

Appropriately, for a musically talented couple, Beth and Henry’s wedding cake topper featured a piano. Guests were treated to a live performance from Henry’s band, The Henry Desmond Show Band & Orchestra.

At golden hour, I slipped out with Beth and Henry again for more couple portraits. The results were dreamy. It was a magical day and Henry and Beth made my lavender farm wedding dream come true!
